Looks confident and accomplished for Peterborough tonight.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Ask De Gea, Ederson, Neur or Alison to play the way Russell Martin instructed Benda to play in our opening games and they'd have made the same mistakes.

Benda is an incredibly talented goalkeeper, one of few players in our squad we have any chance of selling on for a seven figure fee, yet we've made him take a pay cut to drop down a division.

It's bemusing.

Fast and furious game, no time for passing the RM away.
Benda pulled off a great save second half too.

Yes he is a good keeper just made a couple of mistakes early in the season then got dropped.

Martin does make a keepers job more difficult than it should be though.

Agree. I’m old fashioned in believing a keeper should save goals not create them by being brave and passing out from the back constantly despite the opposition playing a high press. Perhaps in another time Beckenbauer would be asked to play keeper.

It is ludicrous to see a keeper ,even under pressure ,literally pa the ball back into danger.
Goalkeepers are primarily goal stoppers;it's why they can use their hands when others can't.They can also clear the ball 60 yards away from danger.
The Martin way is sheer crazy and unfair on players.

We have more than enough talent to do well in this league with the squad we have. I dont buy the fact we are wafer thin. This is a false mantra trotted out by Russ purely to save his own skin when it is proven to be dumb-as it will.

Benda is another example of us allowing good talent to drift away for bugger all.

We have seen previous owners shaft us,now the Trust outed as little better than incompetent.

We never learn

Allison plays the same way for Liverpool, not that I'm comparing the two teams

It could be worse , he could have gone out on loan and not have playing time ,as have been the case for a few of our other players
