Anyone watch Russell’s channel? I think it’s fantastic.
He has no political affiliation or bias to either side which is refreshing in this day and age.
Last week he was talking about how the FDA tried to suppress the release of vaccine efficacy data for 75 years with a judge ruling against it.
Today he is talking about the Hunter Biden laptop which everyone now appears to agree was not a conspiracy theory after all, something 12 months ago social media would not allow you to talk about and led to one of the biggest mass effort for brute suppression of information in modern political history.
No speculation, no supposition, just an examination of the facts. If anyone has an interest in media, big companies and politics and how they work side by side then his channel is fantastic.

The Left, in collusion with the elites (who I think are terrified of a Revolution...and so they are trying to ward it off by labelling every day people who know the difference between right and wrong 'Fascists'/'Racists'/'Xenophoes' etc.) have taken us to unimagined depths.

There will be careers up in smoke, there will be people going to jail....next time, when the Left tries to pull the violence card they will be met with violence (and the Left is in the minority by a distance...it won't end well for them). All of the information suppressed by the media as they didn’t want people to question his legitimacy as a Presidential candidate.
Yet everyone knew it was real, which means Biden was profiting from Ukraine along with his son and using his position as VP at the time to enrich his family. But was protected by big social media corporations, the US media and key political figures.
Facebook had algorithms to suppress the story and Twitter and fact check sites did everything they could to discredit and bury the story.
There needs to be a widespread investigation.

His opinion then goes on to state how politics and organisations should be transparent and suppression of stories should not happen when it’s colluding with political parties to do so.

There is no “allegedly” about it.
This has nothing to do with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It’s about Domestic propaganda and media control by an agenda driven organism that intertwines political parties, big tech, national media and social media companies.
Everyone should be pretty angry about what they did to suppress such a story 2 weeks before an election because they were concerned the person they wanted to win would be seen in a bad light. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are supposed to be the bedrock of Western civilisation.
People talk about China and their suppression of inconvenient stories and then accept this sort of thing. You were banned from social media sites for repeating this factual story, algorithms created to bury it. Fact check sites who are affiliated with social media companies falsely confirming the story as disinformation.
It raises huge questions regarding the role media plays in the lead up to these elections.

1. If Putin is capable of sending agents to Britain to poison opponents of his regime (I presume we are OK that that is fact?), then I very much doubt he would pass on the opportunity to interfere in a US election. It's not just the Democrats who say that he did, it's the US security services.
2. Russia has invaded Ukraine. I saw it on the news. Pretty sure Putin hates the idea of an independent-minded Ukraine. Just like Stalin before him.
3. If the owner of the repair shop who gave the laptop to Giuliani was simply an upright citizen worried about potential law-breaking and his own safety, why not give to the Feds? I have read (no doubt from the MSM) that said repair-shop owner is a member of a right-wing militia and that Giuliani sat on it for a month before revealing he had it. Probably literally. Eurgh.
4. Nope, the security services confirmed they had the laptop, and were still working out whether it was a deep fake or not. Rightly so, given the stakes.
5. On 28 October 2016 Clinton had a 5.5% lead in the polls and Trump wasn't particularly closing the gap. On that day Comey released his bombshell statement on the email server. This dominated the headlines in the last days before polling. Trump closed the polling gap during the period sufficiently to win the election. Of course it changed the outcome.
6. No, I don't think the NYT are in the pay of Putin. Just think the timing is very convenient for Russia. Always ask Cui Bono?
For what it's worth, I have friends and relatives in the US who support both parties, and many who are independents, and I try my best to weigh all the arguments and as much evidence as I can before coming to a conclusion. You strike me as someone who has a framework for analysing the world that you feel comfortable with, and which gives you privileged access to the 'truth' denied to people who aren't part of your secret sect/faith. Plenty of people have trodden a similar path in the past. It usually ends really badly for them and for the rest of us.

Now the New York Times is saying that it's been authenticated. I haven't read their story. I believe, from reading secondary accounts, that they are claiming to have spoken to sources within Hunter Biden's legal team who have confirmed the laptop is genuine. Apologies if there is more to it than that, but that's my understanding - a newspaper which takes great care to stand up its stories has reported that the laptop is genuine. It probably is, but that's not the same as the security services confirming it, is it?
Suppose, shortly before an election, there'd be a free-for-all of reporting on what the laptop supposedly contains, Biden lost, the way Clinton did in 2016 (after all, he only won by a fine margin thanks to Republican voter surpression), and it subsequently turned out that it was a deep fake? The fact that it now seems it wasn't doesn't invalidate the original decision, which was write - you don't run stories that could turn elections unless you are 100% sure you aren't being played.

At the time it was alleged. That's the point.
Now the New York Times is saying that it's been authenticated. I haven't read their story. I believe, from reading secondary accounts, that they are claiming to have spoken to sources within Hunter Biden's legal team who have confirmed the laptop is genuine. Apologies if there is more to it than that, but that's my understanding - a newspaper which takes great care to stand up its stories has reported that the laptop is genuine. It probably is, but that's not the same as the security services confirming it, is it?
Suppose, shortly before an election, there'd be a free-for-all of reporting on what the laptop supposedly contains, Biden lost, the way Clinton did in 2016 (after all, he only won by a fine margin thanks to Republican voter surpression), and it subsequently turned out that it was a deep fake? The fact that it now seems it wasn't doesn't invalidate the original decision, which was write - you don't run stories that could turn elections unless you are 100% sure you aren't being played.
I'd be saying the same thing if it was pee-peegate. This isn't pro or anti-Biden, it's just good journalism.
The proof was incredible, we had his former business partners confirming it and people on those very email chains saying it was true. We had a receipt signed by him and personal pictures and thousands of emails.
It wasn’t hear say, it was a credible and reliable story.
Covering up and consorting a story by blaming Russian misinformation when they knew it was nothing of the sort is anything but good journalism.

1. If Putin is capable of sending agents to Britain to poison opponents of his regime (I presume we are OK that that is fact?), then I very much doubt he would pass on the opportunity to interfere in a US election. It's not just the Democrats who say that he did, it's the US security services.
2. Russia has invaded Ukraine. I saw it on the news. Pretty sure Putin hates the idea of an independent-minded Ukraine. Just like Stalin before him.
3. If the owner of the repair shop who gave the laptop to Giuliani was simply an upright citizen worried about potential law-breaking and his own safety, why not give to the Feds? I have read (no doubt from the MSM) that said repair-shop owner is a member of a right-wing militia and that Giuliani sat on it for a month before revealing he had it. Probably literally. Eurgh.
4. Nope, the security services confirmed they had the laptop, and were still working out whether it was a deep fake or not. Rightly so, given the stakes.
5. On 28 October 2016 Clinton had a 5.5% lead in the polls and Trump wasn't particularly closing the gap. On that day Comey released his bombshell statement on the email server. This dominated the headlines in the last days before polling. Trump closed the polling gap during the period sufficiently to win the election. Of course it changed the outcome.
6. No, I don't think the NYT are in the pay of Putin. Just think the timing is very convenient for Russia. Always ask Cui Bono?
For what it's worth, I have friends and relatives in the US who support both parties, and many who are independents, and I try my best to weigh all the arguments and as much evidence as I can before coming to a conclusion. You strike me as someone who has a framework for analysing the world that you feel comfortable with, and which gives you privileged access to the 'truth' denied to people who aren't part of your secret sect/faith. Plenty of people have trodden a similar path in the past. It usually ends really badly for them and for the rest of us.

Because somebody did X in a different country (poisoning his ex-citizens who he sees as traitors) then he must have done Y..."interfere", that's a weasel word. What do you mean? Every newspaper should run their sources past the security services first. Maybe the news should be highly censored to protect candidates from the right as well as the Left? 5. The Clinton e-mail story was 100% true. Not only that, but it was entirely relevant as to whether you want to vote such a person into office or not. It revealed her deep corruption. She had somebody set up a way to circumnavigate the security services rules...in order that she could still take foreign money via the Clinton Foundation whilst serving as Vice President...foreign billionaires could effectively purchase US foreign policy via Clinton. Hence Ukraine. ...and that story had f all to do with Russia. Look into the story of Seth Rich.

Are Russia coercing US media (including the NY Times) to print a story you apparently still don't believe to be true, namely that Hunter Biden left his laptop containing embarrassing evidence of corruption in a shop, or are they not? The exact opposite is true. The Mueller Investigation completely fell apart, including the trials of the Russians supposedely involved. The only evidence they came up with in court was thousands of interent adverts in Russian for which they did not even have a trasnaltion available. Are you talking about those same US security services that used the Clinton Russia gate spoof story to not only illegally spy on a Presedential Candidate but also a sitting President? The US security services that said Antifa did not exist, it was just an idea? The same security services setting people up for kidnap charges etc, another one has pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence to set up Governor Eric Greitens recently? The head of whom Bill Barr is now saying that Biden lied about the Laptop, even though they had the laptop at the time of the election and there was lots of corroborating evidence from other parties?

I have watched CNN presenters and NY Times journalists admit 'off-camera' that the pee-pee allegations were rubbish. I saw this by virtue of somebody secretly filming them. Happy to be of help.

I’d be more impressed by that if CNN or the NYT wrote the dossier (even accepting that such footage exists, and hasn’t been deep faked). But they didn’t. Christopher Steele did. A man whose entire future ability to earn money rests on his credibility as a security expert. There isn’t enough money in the world to persuade someone like that to tell such an outrageous lie knowing it is false.
It’s a fact that Trump was in Russia at the time and also a fact that Russian hotels that take western tourists have recording devices everywhere…
