Given the parlous state of most clubs' finances would it make sense for all nonPL clubs to kick games off at 1 pm or earlier on weekends to save electricity costs?

We are used to kickoffs being shifted around so makes sense.

As you say it all depends on the cost. At the £32.50 price it only takes about 30 fans to get to a £1000. That could be reached by away fans being put off by the early start. | | | |

Yup and people should remember, it's not just people in the pub who can't get there by 3, there are people who rush there staright from work. Some saturdays I finish at 1400 and it's a mad rush home to get changed, grab my son and get back to the ground. | |

I know many people who play football Saturday afternoons and make it for the 3pm kick off. Early kick off means either they don’t play or they play and don’t come to the game. | |
