Elgar was a Wolves fan and would cycle to homw games from his little village on the doorstep of Worcester. The Malvern hills provided much if his inspiration and Malvern itself is a little quirky and eccentric.

As were Slade, Robert Plant incidentally once studied Welsh and had a house in Wales I've also had a drink in the Chequers , Cutnall Green where his great mate John Bonham went on a mammoth bender the day before he died.

Bron y Aur - That's the name of the house the group stayed in . Machynlleth is the nearest town. Robert Plant wrote Stairway to Heaven there .
