He's not one of the best prospects we have (Congreve, Cotterill, Lloyd and Morgan imo) but he's doing well in the u18s this season and has started to get a few minutes in the u21s. I expect he'll get a pro deal and stay on next season.
It's looking like a stronger group than the one we've had come through recently (the Cullen/Cooper/Cabango class). These are the kids who have spent their whole development career in the fancy academy system so theoretically it's where we see the true benefit of the millions a year that have been spent. |  | | |

Well i for one would rather we play these kids when we can instead of buying or loaning in. I had big hopes for a few of them Congreve Rushesha etc. Look what happenes when they play for a few games, Cooper and especially Cullen last week were superb and posters on this board slated him. |  | | |

Those millions you mention have and hopefully with continue being recouped as they should be by the proper development of the youngsters from the area if not further afield , I see Briton Ferry has become a bit of a feeder club to the Swans with Hurford and now Bates signing 18 month contracts along with a number of friendlies being played between them . Perhaps Wright has a say to who comes into the system as I believe he's also Ferrys U19's coach . | |

Cotterill and Lloyd have both been playing two years up. Iwan Morgan top scorer for the u18s when he was an u16. Once-golden boy Cullen's the only one who was comparable to this crop at the same age, and he stalled when moving to u23s football. Ollie Cooper was 19 before he started looking capable at u23s, Ben Lloyd was making the same steps at 16.
I've got very expectation that we'll get a few more Rodon/Roberts/DJ standard players out of the next class rather than just Cabango/Cooper/Cullen ones. They won't all succeed but we've not had this mix of quality and quantity come through internally before. | | | |

I have not seen more than a hand full of games but Lloyd has great quality to my untrained eye along with a tremendous engine. |  |
