The tale of the Swansea City decline this season 5th Mar 2023 14:38
It’s been a downward spiral all season bar a four game winning run in September that seemed to evidence that Russell Martin’s ideal way of playing football was coming together. In fact the confidence in the side against some decent clubs was extremely encouraging. 1

For me it's been a case of now experiencing too many false dawn's to think we've turned a corner

Let’s not forget when someone writes something it is at times a general opinion not a personal one. I would imagine getting a balance on here at times is bloody difficult.

OK I've changed it.

Football at nearly every level is all about opinions ,all valid in their own way

Always difficult when you are dealing with people who think they are always right and need to feel right.

Football is a cycle and it's understanding how these things work.........its an open article and it shouldn't get ones back up to feel their own need.

It's a fair point about the second half at Luton. Time and again over the last two seasons, the players have shown that they still have some life in them and can battle. But it's almost always when Martin is forced into a change of tactics or formation due to injury, illness or some other unforseeable factor, and as soon as he has the players he needs to revert to Martinball, back we go. These facts give me hope that a new manager could turn things around pretty quickly, and despair that our current manager never seems to learn a thing.

Spot on.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

As one of our more balanced posters I tend to agree, we battled and got stuck in second half and should have really earned a point. I’m uncertain if that will be the same tactic on Saturday.
