The players are performing how they should now. They were making mistake after mistake previously, sloppy passing, half hearted. It looks like our Russ has sorted all this. What a manager eh.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

You are fully aware that won’t happen Keith. Seems our fans have short memories & are happy with a gaffer who hasn’t got the best out of a very good squad.

We will need to replace Piroe and Manning plus strengthen elsewhere. We are playing some great stuff now some would rather moan about the past than praise the presant. Reading some of the posts on here I honestly think some would rather us lose and are too pig headed to give praise where it's due. Praise the good bits criticise the bad the best posters don't hold grudges and post with a balanced view.

I don’t see many moaning about the past, just discussing the obvious nature of why we are now winning, which by its very nature can be seen as a discussion about why we were not winning before. That is vital to discuss and shouldn’t be ignored. It’s these sorts of discussions at management level that has presumably seen the changes we are seeing now. After going 20 games with 2 wins or whatever it was, it wouldn’t be realistic to expect people to be frustrated looking at the table and seeing us so close to the playoffs. It’s extremely frustrating and should be for everyone, thats not taking away anything from how we are playing now.

Spot on. I hope we can keep Piroe. I guess it depends if a big offer comes in.

Norwich completely amazed me today. They looked petrified of us, so much so we just wandered about with the ball until Ntcham took the game by the throat and ran at them. I agree there’s an element of frustration but what’s done is done. There’s no good in what’s gone, as long as Russell Martin learns, and I think he is.

I’m jesting mate, it’s frustrating, but it is what it is, I still believe we need another season and we will be fine.

Nonsense. I stuck with Martin way too long hoping he would change from his stubborn management style to allow a very good squad a decent chance of the play offs, he failed only changing when it was too late. The happy clappers who accept mediocrity & a mid table finish from this squad can carry on. Nobody wants the Swans to progress more than me this season has been a massive missed opportunity.

They have a big squad and rested 6 players, if they rested 11 then yes I think questions would be asked. File under bollox.

I agree, I’m more angry and frustrated than happy, in the cold light of day. It just shows how much nonsense has been spouted about these players not being good enough, about January being needed to stop us being a relegation team, about “bottom third budgets”. This team was always good enough. It’s been an excuse fest. The division he caused in January by that press conference and the subsequent sulking looks to have cost us a play off place. Something to be fair he seems to have admitted. However he’s still trying to cause division with his silly comments in the presser. He loves to lay foundations for future failure, that’s my concern with him. He will never accept responsibility at the time and will always hand it off - he will only accept it once the good times come around and is the golden boy again. He needs to show far more than he has done, he’s extremely lucky to still be in a job. I’ve said next season, no excuses will be entertained so why he’s starting to lay them I’m not quite sure, it’s futile.
