Everything Russell Martin said after the 1-1 draw away at Hull City 29th Apr 2023 18:37
It was a lethargic Swansea at times today at the MKM Stadium on Humberside. With the Swans needing a win and Hull City safe you would have expected some more effort from the visitors. Especially with a slight play of opportunity. However, it wasn’t meant to be and the flowing football of late was missing for large parts of the game. 0

"Lethargic" is not the description was expecting. I fear this team and this manager has a "survival" mentality not a "winning" mentality. This team should have been desperate to win and going all out. An energetic 1-2 defeat an onslaught on the Hull goal would have been better.

I came across a lot of "just do enough" people in my career. I have given Martin a "mid table manager" tag and compared him to Tony Mowbrey.

Does the manger want to get into the top six or simple have security and nice life on the Gower for a few more seasons? I do not want to here any more "I love it here" (mid table in the Championship). This is not bravery word he likes to use a lot.

You could be right or maybe a case of getting to the playoffs would have been a step too far for him should we have managed to reach the final and with it all that entailed
