Pardon me for repeating this name, but Chris Pearlman springs to mind, and he was on approx £500-700 thousand p.a.

He came to improve the club financial situation and increase revenues including managing the expansion the stadium. He might have been successful in the Premier leagues.

Unfortunately outside his control mistakes were made and the club got relegated and this changed everything and he could not perform and was moved on.

We didn't do it because the commercial department at the time was headed by Dineen.

For all people whine about Pearlman, he was the right guy at the wrong time. So many opportunities were missed by his predecessors before he took over.
