I don’t think that was lack of bravery, I think it was poor anticipation, which for a striker like Yates is worse.
His game is getting himself in the right place at the right time and finishing chances. He’s done that there, he did it at Birmingham and another (I can’t place the opponent) a couple of weeks ago and hasn’t reacted quick enough to the easy chance on any of them.
I’ll defend him when he’s getting criticism for not being a target man or a sprinter, but those are the type of goals he’s there for.
Positive - we’re creating chances like that now. If he doesn’t start scoring them, Cullen can play that role. | | | |
