Swansea City match report : There was a gulf in class but the Swans have hope 20th Jan 2024 15:18
This game was lost in the first half, the score at half time the same as when the game ended. A lack of defensive awareness and organisation on the pitch saw the Swans outdone today. 3

Good synopsis of the game and about time articles such as these start to question the captaincy of the side. LW may have to make a very tough decision to make. I hope he’s up to it.

Yep.
Results today not going for us but we need to create our own luck.
Hate to harp on but leadership is key.
Luke says we were timid on the pitch. That is for the captain to address .
He needs to make a tough but necessary decision.
Tymon today was actually quite impressive. Very encouraging and Ashby seems to have come back fully fit and fired up so we should be alright but we lack balls in tough moments .
I just hope Lowe isn’t injured as such as that really does make us strikerless .
One position we obviously need to solve.
Most owners would have sorted this by now.
Get Heyes out on loan and bring in a proven striker.
It might cost money but relegation will cost more

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

I couldn’t see the way Grimes carried out his role, but Liam did and if that’s his feeling I can’t argue. It’s all, these little things that we’ve accepted for too long like that and Yates again today have to be discussed 👍

Good post Guv.
I know I’ve gone on about grimes but maybe now, some will see what I’ve always seen.
A good pro who looks after himself but never a leader, organiser or an inspiration to the team.
It’s a tough business but he’s decently paid.
He can’t seat in Swansea forever just because he likes it there .
Frankly, he would be the first I would have jettisoned.
Don’t believe the warlocks others speak of him. They say it then destroy him.
He kills most of our attacks stone dead
Today,Tymon, bless him, charged forward and crossed the ball with purpose .
Grimes holds it all back and always has done .

Didn’t Rusty want Wood?

What exactly are people expecting?
Its PL team with PL wages and a 140m more talent to pick from, its no coincidence the clubs with the most spend are top of their respective leagues
The advantage is massive and unquestionable, Southampton 206m while little old Swansea are barely 65m
Lets not give Mr 36% win rate Martin the statue outside the club most of you delusional clowns are calling for
He just like Kompany was will get massively exposed in the PL

Well regarding the statue, looking at those around me who clapped him at the end of the game was sickening to observe

Don't know I had to fight my way through the crowds, who were trying to gain his attention

Statue ? First I’ve heard of that. Statues are for the clubs greats, even though I deplore the idea of man worship. (And statues, but we are stuck with them ) I see that as a weakness in many.
