When he came here we were skirting with relegation but soon moved clear into a mid table position. He hasn't really had must win matches which we will if we are challenging for the play offs, this is where we will see how good he is. Some managers have got the better of him and he hasn't been able to respond. Its going to be interesting as he will have a very good squad, although we currently have injuries in central defence, he has excellent options elsewhere. |  | | |

Some of us (like you and I) thought last year's squad was up for challenging for a spot in the playoffs. Maybe our expectations were aimed too high but I think you would agree that we were certainly better than being in a relegation scrap in December. I think Sheehan just could not find enough consistency, especially in midfield, wingers, and RB (why he and Matos played Galbraith there). He never could figure it out and never really put it together.
But we did end up with two players named to the Championship team last season, which Matos deserves a lot of credit for. It's kind of unheard of for a team that eked into the top half of the table to have two players, Vip & Tymon, named to that team. Kudos to Matos and the players for that!! |  | | |

It indicates to me that unless there is a complete dramatic collapse that the Swans will be in the top ten. Towards the end of this season that means bigger crowds for any side in the top ten with more play off places available. Can’t help thinking our opening two games were as tough as they come with the opposition being Sheffield United home and Stoke City away excluding the three who came down. | |

I think they were easier games, but it's all a matter of opinion. Middlesborough, Millwall, Wrexham, Charlton and Birmingham City would have been my picks. Stoke are in the relegation zone, while Sheff Utd have yet to score a goal in the league. | | | |
