| WAG new quarantine rules 22:42 - Sep 3 with 1137 views | britferry | Wales have added a few destinations to the list that England don't have and if you return from one after 4am on Friday, you have to self isolate for 14 days. Now how do they know if you've returned if you fly back in to Bristol or any other English airport? And dont get me started why the hell anybody desperately wants to go abroad in the first place is beyond me at this time. | |

As England don’t have to quarantine from Portugal and the advice is it’s still ok to travel, we either go and see what happens upon returning or lose our money There are more cases in parts of the U.K. that we can travel to than there are in some countries that we can’t. Cases mean nothing with increased testing!

Personally I wouldn't want to go abroad right now in case I came down with Covid. Have you checked your insurance cover (assuming you have it) because it's better to be safe! It's not much of a choice is it, go and take your chance or lose all the money, useless politicians.

Going abroad at the moment is risky due to covid but is also so changeable. People go on about Portugal and Wales putting people in self isolation however there has been 16 instances of Johnson's government taking countries off the Air Bridges list including France and Spain 2 of the biggest. Portugal should have been taken off throughout the UK but the government put their own interests before public health knowing the furore there there would be with them about to be on then taken off the list. You may suddenly find wherever you go the situation will have changed by the time you return.

Cancel your holiday and risk losing a few quid but not running the risk of bringing the disease back with you(unselfish, good on you!) 2. Go on your holiday and not lose any money but risk catching the disease and bringing it back with you for the rest of us to carry on this episode for a lot longer(selfish bastard, try thinking of others not just yourselves) Obviously these views are my own, but I know most with half a brain cell would adhere to staying home

Don't you have to have a clear Covid test before being allowed to enter Cyprus?

Many people are travelling abroad to places with a lower infection rate than the UK. Thankfully those countries are requiring Brits to get a test before flying. Your half a brain cell does not equate to the full complement the rest of us have.

18 30s are doing a great job of spreading the infection in this Country, and in Greece. Just take a look at Leeds last night, and people wonder why that City is close to lock down, same in all Cities on a weekend night

Hey stupid, the least people travel ANYWHERE reduces the spread of this disease. That's my point

Yes, and there are fewer cases there than here, so theoretically I have more chance of catching it in Wales than I do in Cyprus.

Staying home, keeping distance, hygiene rules has saved loads of lives throughout the world. Most places have done it far more successfully than the UK but then maybe they dont have the likes of you in Singapore, Malaysia or elsewhere.

Growing numbers of people like me in the U.K. are waking up and seeing it for what is actually happening, the real threat now is not a virus that’s dying out, it’s the effect of prolonged lockdown. [Post edited 6 Sep 2020 18:38]

Elsewhere in the world where they have been far more successful in controlling the virus than us are also keeping things closed. Are they wrong. Did places with 20 or 30 deaths get it wrong. God help us if growing numbers in the UK are like you thinking the numbers of deaths arent really deaths and they would have died anyway which we all will sometime.

Ask yourself why there are so many cases in young people now? Testing perhaps? Young people never got tested until very recently, so how can they know that young people didn’t carry the virus before? You can’t use the rise in cases In young people to put fear in the public

Its fairly obvious why and this is nothing to do with increased testing. Look at the photos from outside Coyote Ugly in Cardiff on the weekend. Total lack of social distancing. Go on a bus. Youngsters and also older ones go on the bus with a mask then take them off. What is the point of that. I was on a bus last week. 6 of us upstairs and I was the only one wearing a mask properly. One older guy had the mask under his chin and the younsters took them off once they got on the bus. Until people follow basic rules we will have problems and could well end back in lockdown. We were doing really well and the figures were very low. The stupidly we had cases of people being left in from abroad with the virus and then it circulates. Same with opening pubs especially the city centre bars. Despite you and others criticising the Senydd today England has followed our approach over the Greek Islands which they should have done last week on a united front as well as Portugal which unfortunately they have not done for political reasons.
