It appears you can't get drunk or eat after 18:00 , pretty much the same as before .

That right but in the uncontrolled environment of shopping you'll be pleased to hear that the "Government announces shops will be allowed to extend their opening hours Monday to Saturday in the run up to Christmas".

| New Covid Guidelines For Wales ? on 00:14 - Dec 1 with 947 views | KeithHaynes | Our current state of alarm in Spain is - Socially distanced outside eating and dining until 6pm. Its getting a bit chilly mind. Curfew, 10pm until 7am. If you are caught its a bit expensive. Must wear masks everywhere. Unless you are eating or drinking. No travelling outside of your town / municipality Unless for work or essential medical appointments. If you are not sure then do it, then if you messed up, have a fine. No flexibility. The police here are very helpful, considerate and approachable, unless you shout at them, then its sort of a problem :-)

So Spain had a much harder lockdown than we did yet they still have all these restrictions, so lockdowns really don’t work! The virus will spread, nothing we do will prevent it.

Lockdowns do reduce the figures. There is something that can be done. It is people ignoring the rules that causes problems. The rules here are not largely different to elsewhere. The most arguable case is perhaps they dont not to be so strict in North Wales where the virus is not currently creating the same problems as in South Wales.

The figures have come down in Wales. The problem is people have ignored the advice since lockdown ended so it has started going up again.

Think Spaniards far more tactile than us frigid Celts and Saxons. They also care for their old people and treat them as family rather than simply treating our old folks as inconveniences to bin asap.

It's not really surprising when the message from Welsh Government seemed to be that a two week firebreak will solve everything. Drakeford said it was to see us through to Christmas and Lee Waters said we may need another one in January. Areas in local lockdown before the firebreak had less restrictions leaving it than before it started despite having a considerably higher level of infection. Overnight we went from restricted travel, and only individual households sitting on table in pubs/restaurants to being able to sit with four households in a pub anywhere in Wales. Despite cases being higher than when the rules were introduced. It's hard to imagine how Drakeford could be doing a worse job.

No doubt he will ban welsh students studying in England and Scotland from travelling home for Christmas, in case they bring infections with them

& he still posts on a forum of a football club who play in the English league. If he was a proper Welsh nationalist surely he'd follow Haverfordwest or Bala town. Plastic nationalist. [Post edited 1 Dec 2020 12:52]

Are you prepared to put up with the second worst leader in the UK? I'm not. He has got to go in May.

Obviously you are happy to be a boot licker when it comes to football. Or are you also a plastic when it comes to that as well?

Your hatred of Drakeford holds no bounds. In your case he is the new Paul Ringer. Cases up in Spain. Mark Drakeford is to blame. The fact is that up to the last week the daily Welsh figures have been lower than England's. That has changed but we have yet to see the effect of England coming out of lockdown to be able to compare. There is absolutely no doubt that the figures went down because of lockdown here. Here are the Welsh figures to the end of October 1324 1104 1158 1207 1414 1375 1737 1301 Here are the figures from 7 November 958 744 931 444 928 867 797 933 However people continue to flout the rules. There was the case of a party in Swansea University and your friends in the licensed trade continue to ignore the rules. Old Havana were visited early on Beaujolais day and told they had too many people there and to take action. The police and trading standards went back later the same day and found it was still far too full. I suppose you blame Drakeford for that. The police and trading standards have previously visited your friends in Boss Brewery and ordered them to close and there have been too many places to individually mention. It might have escaped your attention that Wales isnt the only place in the UK taking this kind of action so are Scotland and England.
| New Covid Guidelines For Wales ? on 14:40 - Dec 1 with 775 views | Highjack | We can meet up with family and friends but only if we have been thoroughly deloused at an approved government delousing agency first and only while the moon is waning whilst its passing through Sagittarius. No eating or drinking between dusk and dawn because the science has proven categorically that the virus actively attacks people more during these hours. At midday everyday we must go forth into the streets and shout “I love Mark Drakeford” loudly at the sun for forty minutes as this helps keep us safe from the virus. You can go to shops as long as you wear a mask and a cork up your bum but only certain shops that sell certain things that are approved by the government. Again science has proven that the virus likes to hang around non essential goods waiting to pounce like an evil pouncey thing. The rules are fairly simple really and obviously driven by science which is why everybody is so happy to let their businesses fall into financial ruin whilst they rush headlong into the spectre of bankruptcy, depression and suicide. As long as we’ve got two less cases than England a day it’ll all be worth it because we’re doing so well. | |
