Controversial VAR decisions West Ham v Aston Villa, 30 November - Villa manager Dean Smith said VAR "frustrates everyone but there's nothing we can do about it" after Ollie Watkins' late strike was ruled out for offside because of the position of his arm. Manchester United v West Brom, 21 November - "I'm very disappointed with the decisions from the referee," said Baggies manager Slaven Bilic after referee David Coote reversed a penalty decision, ruling Bruno Fernandes had touched the ball in a challenge on Conor Gallagher. Crystal Palace v Leeds United, 7 November - Patrick Bamford said VAR is "ruining football" after his equaliser for Leeds is ruled out because his outstretched, pointing arm is offside. Everton v Liverpool, 17 October - Reds manager Jurgen Klopp said he "doesn't understand these decisions" after VAR fails to review a challenge from Jordan Pickford that injured Virgil van Dijk, while Jordan Henderson's late goal was ruled out for offside against Sadio Mane. | |

| VAR decisions and reaction on 11:58 - Dec 7 with 279 views | Highjack | It’s awful. I’m not against VAR in principle but the way they do it is terrible. The whole point of it is to reverse “clear and obvious errors.” If you have to watch it back for five or six minutes in slow motion with multiple camera angles and loads of lines drawn everywhere and you’re still not sure whether the players fingertip is offside then it’s not a clear and obvious error. Better standard of refereeing and VAR would only be needed once a month. | |

| VAR decisions and reaction on 21:44 - Dec 7 with 227 views | Andy1300 | It’s simply not fit for purpose yet. The offside and handball rules need looking at too. The enjoyment is being strangled out of the game and not being allowed in the grounds is making it even worse. | |

| VAR decisions and reaction on 21:59 - Dec 7 with 223 views | Dr_Parnassus | It truly is awful. It was supposed to create drama, but it’s just killing the spontaneous nature of the game. Nobody can really celebrate a goal with the same veracity as you are waiting for technology to rule it out by a technicality. VAR should be used in the challenge system. One challenge per team, then it can be used for obvious errors and it’s in the teams hands to do something about it. If you get your challenge wrong then you lose it for the rest of the game, only yourselves to blame then if something happens later in the game you don’t agree with. | |
