MLS isn't great, in fact it's poor in the main, but there's a few decent players sprinkled amongst the dross. Morris is ok if you play him right. His touch isn't great and he's very one dimensional, the more time he has to think the more likely he is to mess up. I don't know why the Sounders play him out wide, a winger he ain't ( bit of American there for you). His best spell here came when Clint Dempsey got injured a couple of seasons back and he played as an out and out striker. He looks pudgy but he's very quick and running in straight lines onto a ball over the top he'll do damage. Be interesting to see how he handles the pace of a 90 minute game there as he looks like he's blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes here. Anyway, I hope he's a success for you and I hope you have a good season with promotion at the end of it, it really can't be any worse than mine. UTBFTP

In terms of his first touch, its not as bad as the original post would seem. Although if it was refined he would probably be somewhere else by now. Although he turned down a Bundesliga move out of college because he wanted to stay home with a club he had been around since he was a child before they were even an MLS club. His dad is the team doctor for a long time running. His best spell has been post knee injury after the Gold Cup where for club and country he has about a goal+assist per match played. He is the US best in terms of goals+ assists per 90 slightly ahead of Pulisic. He has played the wing cause Seattle usually has elite strikers for the MLS level. He isnt a prototypical winger and I suspect part of the reason he liked this offer over others in the past is he will likely be playing more central. He has pace to burn and good upper body strength. He will dig in defensively. At first he was purely a counter attack guy but as time has gone on he is more than adequate in possession. The fact that the game will be quicker and more instinctual will probably suit him well. MLS is a weird league and even harder to gauge in terms of scouting. Probably why you see less moves even to lower leagues around Europe by MLS players. Jordan also has a lot less minutes for someone his age (I think around 8k-9K) given he didnt turn pro till he was 21 and injured for a year. Coming from MLS it will always be about how quickly can he acclimatize to this new level. He is probably boom or bust type because I think he can play a role at any level but he has to hit the ground running given its midseason and the current aspirations of Swansea to return to the top flight. I suspect Cooper sees him as a sub/spot starter for now. I think he can thrive in that role cause of his pace and power. He has a penchant to make thing happen in big games. He has been in MLS Cup (Championship game) every year he has played and even made the College final every year as well if I remember correctly. So he has been constantly on clubs that win outside of US (he was injured for the failed 2018 WC bid). Before Pulisic he was the next big thing because Jurgen Klinsmann believed in him that much. He does have a lot of doubters cause he turned down European moves in the past and many US fans get angry about such things. I hope that he does well for you and you make it back to the top flight. Whether that means he would stay long term, who knows. I hope for Swansea's success going forward. Best of luck and I hope everyone is well in these troubled times.

Got to say after a very disappointing start to the window, particularly with MGW, it’s moving back to a much more positive direction. Be good to get one more in before the window closes, maybe cover for Roberts on the right ahead of a CM or CF. Plus a few of the kids out on loan.

What I take from that is he's fast, strong and might be a shoot on sight type of player which is something I think we need, a through ball into the area and bang, we don't do it enough IMO. If he's coming on for the last 30 against tiring defenders he could have a big impact. That along with Hourihanes apparently sweet left peg and free kick porwess mkes them very good signings. Lets hope they live up to the hype eh.
