How or why do you think Wales have shunned Swansea talent?

Swansea fans buy into the 'victimhood' nonsense of bias against them from all Welsh institutions. It is actively encouraged to think like this by border land anglophone agitators. BBC Wales, ITV Wales, Wales on Line, Western mail the FAW itself it does not matter what it is. t UK today everyone is a victim and had a raw deal starting at the top with the second son of the next in line of the Monarchy. Two Swansea u21 defender will be playing for Cymru on Saturday or Tuesday Cabango and Brandon Cooper.

I can buy into perceived bias from the media, that's obvious and there's other threads dealing with that. But not selecting or ignoring worthy Welsh players playing for Swansea is what i assume Badlands was referring to? I can't think of a single example of this happening.

I recall a reference back in the 90’s of swans players getting longer bans from the FAW when they administered more things locally. It was something like ten Cardiff players and their fines and bans compared to ten swans players. The difference was remarkable. I believe something like 70% of the FAW were connected to or had Cardiff season tickets, Obviously locations of international games has always been an issue. I wouldn’t say Wales have overlooked swans players that are good enough that would be madness. Theres probably many other examples. Edit I also recall a Cardiff player being c,eared by the FAW of a red card so he could play in a very important game, possibly the fa cup final of 2008 ?

Better than nothing which is the normal coverage. Daren Purse was the CCFC who was cleared to the bemusement over the border.

Yes and the faw having a Cardiff city season ticket holder on the board while giving them favourable decisions while extending suspensions for us etc. But as for the national team squads, are there any selection bias examples against Swans players at senior or u21 level? As per badlands post above.

How many u21s apps did Connor Roberts get? Cameron Coxe held the RB shirt for years and now he's plugging away in non-league football. Plenty of questionable selection decisions with Wales age groups, just as there have been with Swans age groups. Every coach and manager has their biases and preferences, we've potentially come to the end of a rare era where Swans players represented the u21s in good numbers. Whether things move back towards Cardiff (who have a decent u19s-u21s group now) or the English-based players, and how fair that is, remains to be seen.
| Wales u21 v RoI u21 on 15:21 - Mar 26 with 951 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Wales lost 1-2. At 1-0, I was getting angry with the players as sloppyness was creeping in with a lack of care and concentration and a tendency to run into trouble. Boyes played a blind back pass to the goalkeepr Shepherd having a drink. 1-2 Sloppy to say the least. [Post edited 26 Mar 2021 15:23]

Well Roberts is 3 years older than Coxe who started playing for Wales u21s in September 2017, Roberts had his 2 u21 caps in 2016, but was playing for the seniors in early 2018. So is there really much of a crossover there? I'm not saying this doesn't happen or hasn't happened. Just asking why people would think it.

It was Darren Purse and indeed it meant he could play in the cup final v portsmouth , not that it did them any good .

I’m sure I remember trundle having a red card against Rochdale downgraded to a yellow which caused uproar aswell?
