Swansea City v Southampton TICKET NEWS 09:32 - Jul 16 with 1148 viewsKeithHaynes

Swansea City is delighted to confirm that following discussions with our local Safety Advisory Group (SAG), 8,200 supporters will be able to attend our pre-season friendly against Southampton at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, July 31 (3pm).

This fixture is a transition for the safe return of supporters to the Liberty and will be undertaken in line with SAG guidelines with a view to heading towards a larger capacity at the beginning of the 2021-22 season.

This agreed capacity has been taken in accordance with SAG and as a club we feel that the figure represents a safe and secure number with the health and safety of supporters being of paramount importance ahead of any further increase in capacity in due course.

Supporters will be seated in all four stands within the stadium and we also encourage fans to book in groups as we will be seating in groups of six maximum.

Season ticket holders and seasonal hospitality guests will be unable to sit in their usual seats. There will be no away fans permitted for this fixture.

You will be able to select the stand you wish to sit in and tickets will be allocated accordingly. Wheelchair users will see the option the select a wheelchair bay and associated personal assistant seat. There will be limited easy access seats listed for any supporters with mobility issues.

Season ticket holders will receive a priority window for purchasing tickets for this fixture (details below).

Ticket prices are as follows:

Adults - £15 (£12 for season ticket holders)*

Seniors (over-65s) and students - £7 (£5 for season ticket holders)*

Under-18s - £5 (£3 for season ticket holders)*

*There is no booking fee for online purchases using our print at home service. All tickets purchased by telephone with the Ticket Office are subject to a £2.50 booking fee per ticket.

I'll try but as I sit as an individual along side a group of 4 I don't think I'll be successful

When mentioned about capacity during season. I think around 8,000 is the best we can hope for. If people think we'll have 15,000+ when season kicks off, it ain't gonna happen. Season ticket holder, too. So I'm gutted. But I do understand why.

We will be on capacity when we play our first home game. Restrictions in Wales will not be place on that date.

Edit home league game.

You think WAG will have 18,000 people all sitting together? Inches apart, no chance.

Yep. That's what lifting of restrictions means. Like it or not.

I was only 18 months ago that the WAG gave their blessing to Wales Scotland rugby match (using all the available science).

Recent out door event have been used for research. What are the findings? I have a feeling fans will self regulate. Grand pa will give it miss 2 jabs or not.

Not lifting ALL restrictions though are they? Read the tickets page on club website, they say they'll be using the ballot system. I'm as sorry as everyone else. I'm a season ticket holder.

It does not say they will be using a ballot system. They are waiting for guidance, .

Swansea City is currently preparing for the upcoming season and is now in the process of contacting all season ticket holders for the 2021-22 campaign.

We are awaiting guidance on crowd attendance numbers and, when this information is available, we will endeavour to keep season ticket holders updated via digital methods, including the Swans website, social media channels and direct emails sent to registered season ticket email addresses.

Although unconfirmed, and very much dependant on Covid-19 restrictions, we anticipate that we may have to use a balloting process to issue tickets for at least part of the 2021-22 season.

Therefore, it is imperative the information provided by 2021-22 season ticket holders is accurate and up to date. There is detail further down in this story on how to check and update your information.
