Sory Kaba : FC Midtjylland ( again ) 18:41 - Jul 19 with 1413 viewsKeithHaynes

Heads not in the right place apparently.

Kaba is now on the transfer list according to his manager Bo Henriksen. He revealed that the forward will likely leave the club this summer. “Sory Kaba is on the transfer list. That is the reality,” said the Midtjylland boss. “(Leaving) is what his dream is. Right now, I don’t think he’s mentally ready to appear in the squad and be part of this. So I play some other players. I’m not afraid of that at all.”

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

When players admit their head is not in the right place thy quite often find out over the next following 5 years they can never actually find the right place again.

I had a nasty feeling that The Chief would be on my case asking for examples. The collar felt again but this time no way out.

I therefore had an uncomfortable google search of "players that performed badly after the "head being in the wrong place". This depressingly came up with nothing leading me to consider the unthinkable post deletion and complete failure.

Fortunately the "players who refused to play for their club" search came up with some beauties that supported my quote.

In biggest sh@thousery in reverse order

1) Pierre van Hooydonk. with Forest in the top league his career continued well but in lower leagues in the Netherlands and with the mighty Fenerbahce in Turkey.

2) Leonardo Ulloa
He was determined to leave lowly Leicester at the season they won the league. Incredibly bad judgement. He went on loan to Brighton and then Mexico and Secunda in Spain.

3) Deigo Costa
After being the most feared striker in the PL for 4 seasons getting 22 goals his his final season he forced a move back to Athletico and bombed. Only 19 goals over 4 seasons and only 2 last season.

I was going to add Dimitri Payet who s last wonderful season was at West Ham. He has since lost his place in the French team but has had decent seasons since to be fair.

Wasn't that Bo Diddle, or Diddle Squat ?

Due to play against Celtic this week too - reasonable goal scoring record, 1 in 3 on thereabouts but otherwise know nothing about him.

According to Wikipedia, yes.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Obviously that will happen sometimes, wasn't Costa getting ona bit...and Ulloa come to that...then Van Hooijdonk was 30 when he left Forest, went to Vitesse then Benfica, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce, NAC Breda and then finished at Feyenoord with 8 goals in 37 games and he was 38. Not too shabby.

These players hwo's heads aren't in the right place, it's often about the money, nothing to do with their head being wrong. Or it could be their partner, look at Scott Sinclair and Rosie.

There again, some players perform well when their head is obviously in the wromg place, Leon Knight anyone?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Think he scored a lot in a 4-0 defeat at the Vetch.

If the Mestella was the high of the 2000+ era then this wet Wednesday must have been an all time low.
