A lot depends on how many clubs are trying to sign him, if it's only one the rpice will be lower. If there's competition it'll rise a bit. As whiterockin says, he only has a year left so 5-6 is probably very near the reality.

I agree that he is a very good player and it is unlikely we'll replace him with some equally as talented. I do not think he is the best defensive midfielder in the league.
Playing with 8 defensive players has worked tremendously well at helping hide the glaring weaknesses of many of our defensive players.
Grimes problem is he's not perfect so because he's the player who spends the most time on the ball and has the most responsibility it's simple to focus in on his mistakes. Finding a player in that area who doesn't make mistakes is impossible, particularly in the Championship. Even Kalvin Phillips was making fewer tackles from more attempts per game than Grimes at this level. And twice as many fouls, although I suppose that's a positive for some people?

Fouls are an essential part of a defensive midfielders workload during a match. His refusal to foul players in dangerous situations last season wasn't isolated to the second leg against Barnsley. It's always been an issue with his game.
Like I said, I think he is a very good player and would probably be the biggest loss out of all our players should he leave. I'd rather see us cash in on Roberts if we had the choice.
