| Connor Roberts was offered a new contract 14:54 - Sep 3 with 1079 views | KeithHaynes | The recent allegation made by his fiancé that he wasn’t offered a new contract is completely incorrect. Now it could well be she didn’t know hence the reason why she made the statement. But when Russell Martin states he was, then rest assured he was. And we can confirm this directly. It’s not an issue of massive importance, but sometimes these things need clearing up. And primarily and more importantly Connor Roberts is the issue here, with all due respects not his fiancé, she is not. Enough said. | |

| Connor Roberts was offered a new contract on 16:04 - Sep 3 with 1026 views | jack247 | It is important, not in terms of Connor himself, but the clubs ambition. Selling him for the best we can get when he could go for free in the summer and we’ve got Laird until then absolutely makes sense. Him signing a new contract would have been better. If we’ve offered and he’s turned it down, then we’ve done the right thing. Had no offer been made and we’d just looked to offload for £2.65m, I’d have been worried. I was pretty confident that wasn’t the case, as we turned down a slightly higher bid for Grimes. | | | |

Even the poorest clubs in the PL will be offering more in a season then we could have paid him for the rest of his career (unless we are promoted) but Roberts wanted to play in the PL and, as no one had made any serious attempt to buy his services in previous seasons, this might have been his only opportunity. Failing to gain promotion through two play offs would also have had a huge effect on his thinking. | |

I think he was gutted when Rodon got his move and he didn't, either that or he was gutted he went, I think he's a home town boy, but he had to move and try the next step it was the right decision for me, I wish him well, but Swans and us fan's will miss him. [Post edited 3 Sep 2021 21:33]

I'd have kept Connor over Grimes all day long, personally. [Post edited 3 Sep 2021 21:28]

| Connor Roberts was offered a new contract on 21:37 - Sep 3 with 809 views | builthjack | My guess is he was propbably offered about 15k a week, and 35-40k if we were to get promoted. He couldn't see us getting promoted, as the owners have sold every one of our decent players, and will continue to do so. So he had to jump ship. That's my take on it. | |
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.
