| Barristers. An Epiphany for me. 10:01 - Oct 7 with 813 views | onehunglow | Last night I watched a programme on the investigation of multiple rapist Reynard Sinaga on 159 counts of Rape on males he plied with drink ,drugs and pillow talk. Detectives in tears at times recounting the horrific videos he took of his exploits but what surprised me was seeing the Prosecution barrister also close to tears as he has 4 sons over whom he felt more worried than hitherto.as they grow up and go to university. This Barrister had to exercise considerable control in articulating the Trial and it staggred me really. That said, just feel for the defence barrister acting for the likes of Sinaga, who ,far from showing remorse, clearly enjoyed the notoriety and his crimes . It is believed at least 100 more rapes are down to him. He was given a life sentence with minimum of 30 years which was ok I thought but CPS appealed and increased it to 40 years. This I personally found went some way to restoring my faith in Justice for victims of crime. It has to be remembered few men will make complaints of this nature and young men are also very much at danger from serial sexual offenders. | |

Morning. I have been harsh with comments regarding barristers and I stand by them in many ways as it is beyond my comprehension a to what it would be like defending people like this;granted they have to have a fair trial but to do the job would not be one I d like to do. Last night was the first and only time I have seen what I would consider genuine emotion in a practising barrister. Staggering

There is currently an appeal for others to come forward. This is Shipmanesque but it seems to have slipped the collective consciousness of our people. He was advised of course to No Comment throughout and try his hand at CC. Very few plead not guilty and then the circus begins.

If it was not for barristers defending, who would cross examine the victims ?

Of course, anytime One of the reasons I do my weights and train for marathons is it’s a great way of de stressing re certain cases. You have to leave it in the courtroom, you’d not survive long otherwise | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I still tick over Jon. Having tbis turbo trainer is excellent as I can drift into my own little world and play my own music to alliviate the boredom. My son and daughter have done the London and we were very proud. It might look easy for outsiders on the telly but when you hit the wall as my siblings did at about 22 miles the rest of the way is pure pain. Credit to all those who do so How much did Phil raise as I have had no response to my asking .

No it hasn’t it’s always been an offence. It’s was just charged under a different section. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/42 Section 1 is penile rape, 2 is other objects. Horrific either way
