Couldn't listen to him when he was younger so I'm not gonna listen to him now. Lot of people in Ponty who knew him before he become "famous" wouldn't piddle on him if he was on fire.

It's really quite astonishing how similar his voice sounds now to the way it did pushing 60 years ago. Most people with his vocal power tend to lose it a bit as they age (Bruce Dickinson is a shadow now of what he was) but Sir Tom has lost very little.

Well you're wrong there.
He has lost his high range but gained more in low register.

As one gets older,one's voice changes.

Tom was a tenor but now more of a Baritone.
