We are not allowed to fat shame anymore, not allowed to say things people don't like so we just have to accept it.
people will have to accept the health risks and maybe the government needs to tell people that those badly overweight will wait longer for medical treatments as otherwise healthier people will get things like joint replacements or heart surgery first.

Not bizarre, human nature. Many people criticise others actions but will defend themselves if caught doing exactly the same thing, we're all hypocrites to an extent.
Dog walkers is an excellent example, some dog walkers will let their dogs poo and not clean it up but if you took your dog to their street and did the same....
Personally I don't agree with the anti vaxxers but I wouldn't force a jab on them all I would say is, if the government sets certain conditions then we all have to live with them. | |

I'd say we have had a bucket full of media hysteria and political hype around the pandemic driven partly by some off the mark scientific predictions. Everyone has fallen into line with the messaging even the journalists have abandoned their post on challenging the thinking and communication and have fallen into line. We focus on what we are told to right now rather than looking wider at the context and asking some simple questions.
Why do we spend so much on the NHS? Why may it be overrun ? Because a large percentage of us make ourselves ill. This inconvenient truth gets hidden behind political posturing in a divided media.
As the pandemic wanes, the root causes will continue. | |
