It’s not their fault. It’s never their fault.

We're they not expecting nearly 100k Liverpool fans in Paris over the weekend, many of whom would not have tickets coupled with a days drinking.

When you have people like Gary Lineker then saying it's ridiculous that police are not letting people in to the stadium, media and fans then start blaming the police....the police locked down, what else were they expected to do!? .... Open up the gates for all to enter 🙄

You have too eradicate the source otherwise it just keeps happening.

Local population being blamed atm.
Seems to be the case in certain incidents.

It's not hard to police ,they should have had a ring of police and checks on a perimeter around stadium and anyone without tickets not let into the area..when wales played Northern Ireland in Paris we had go through 3 police checks to get stadium

They are blaming fans for having forged tickets.
Some of the friends of players were refused entry with genuine tickets.
Plus as we have both suggested, a perimeter all around and nobody gets near the gates without a ticket.

Quote SKY :" "The shambolic organisation and hazardous decision to funnel thousands into a bottleneck WITHOUT TICKET CHECKS up to that point was asking for trouble. Exacerbated by gates being closed and authorities antagonist rather than pivoting to alleviate reasons for pressure and chaos."

Last nights fiasco was not a good advertisement for any travelling fan. It wasn’t long ago that the Euro final at Wembley was a lesson to be learned by UEFA……pretty obvious they are totally brain dead in that dept.

I'm in Paris at the moment by coincidence and it was busy with Liverpool fans but not swarming.

One of the problems seemed to be the Liverpool fans park was about an hour away from the stadium and the live bands didn't finish until an hour and a half before kick off. There was always going to be a bottleneck.

I watched the game with a Liverpool fan family, two of who gave up trying to get to the game because they were too worried for their safety.

Barely saw any Real fans.
