Oxford v Swansea. What actually happened here? 15:34 - Aug 10 with 726 viewsReslovenSwan1

Simplistically both teams started with weakened line ups. Swansea left some of their their big hitters in Swansea. Swansea stated with some big players and had kids on the bench. Leaders like Darling and Cabango were on the field.

Oxford started even weaker leaving the likes of Branagan on the bench. Swansea cruised to a 2-0 lead.

Swansea then took off their big hitters and replaced with two kids. Oxford took off kids and put on big hitters. What happened next was obvious. The game turned in Oxford's favour. The changes were made to make this happen.

Winter needs an explanation of the logic from Martin. He won the game then went out of his way to lose it with the owner watching from the stand waiting for a home 2 round draw and some money.

This was a Martin made calamity. Against Reading and AFCB Martin threw away two 3 goal leads buy not responding to these team going route one. He claimed lack of resources with Bennett out in the cold Cabango and Cooper Injured. No excuses this time. Substitutions are a vital part of the game as it picking the bench and they are designed to help the team and adapt to the opponents moves. The tactical aspects are not being addressed.

I am failing to understand your mentality in other threads you are laying the loss at the door of the players then you create this thread which quite rightly points to the root of our problems

It’s like this vetch.
Res is now seeing the light,as is everyone. It is a shock to the system to be proven gullible as we all were when Martin sneaked in.

We scored twice ,then thinking game won, took the pyss and paid the price.

As before

Nothing learned

We really should stop Garrick and Joseph going because of this xxxx as a new manager would start Joseph and Zgarrick as they are stronger than what we have. Look at our midfield now of Allen (past it),Grimes (past comment) Paterson ,almost as frail as the spin along a kid.

Get him out folks now.

My mentality is that I have no agenda with Martin and want to see him succeed. Benda let him and the fans down by not concentrating and the wall should not have been porous. Cabango should have enforced discipline.

This like most calamities have multi factors for failure and Swansea players and manager contrived amongst them selves to lose a match that was in the bag. Everyone should endeavour to do they job properly.

Martin's "mentality" was that Saturday's game was more important. He was looking 5 days hence and did not secure the win that he badly needed. It reinforced the perception of some that the club is still in transition and expectancies were low. Those days are gone.

Benda was thinking about his next loan and the wall were looking to avoid being winded. Teeneagers shuld be incorporated one at at time.

Martin like everybody else has to adapt. It looks like he has declined help so needs to do that on his own.
