Swansea make their most important signing yet : Andy Parslow revisited 9th Oct 2022 10:24
The arrival of thirty one year old Andy Parslow, at least on the face of it just another addition to the Swansea City training staff. But these days specialists are found at every club, specialists who improve the quality of delivery for their club, and impact on every player on the field of play. 0

That was a lesson another Swansea manager had to learn.

Another lesson would be,who must you play to have a target in the box(That must have been Mr Bennett wasn't it?)

The fact we are learning from mistakes warms the cockles of this cold cold heart

He needed time, and I recall a few games back the media poking fun at him and his pitch side analysis with his iPad. Not so clever now. I hear he puts a lot of our set piece work down to our efficiency at throw ins primarily and then understanding those basics regards positioning for free kicks and corners. Fair play to him judging where he came from.

An excellent appointment.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

There was one throw in in the second half yesterday that really caught my eye.

The thrower (might have been Manning) sent it down the touchline with a little spin on it intended for it to curve behind the fullback. Idea being that it almost acted as a through ball for Obafemi to get onto. Had there been a little bit more pace on it it might well have worked out, but the defender was marginally closer to the ball and got there first.

It's a good example of the kind of inventiveness from throws that we haven't shown since before the Monk era.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

When you look at his alleged salary he will be up for a new contract sooner rather than later.

I think even the most modest recruitment would have garnered huge appreciation, we were absolutely awful in that department, but this guy has certainly brought a huge increased threat, still disappointed Cabango decided to go with his head instead of throwing a foot at it against Wigan, but overall very happy with the improvement, probably has a lot to do with who takes them
