| Martin out ! 11:54 - Dec 18 with 1364 views | sw02sea | How many times before the penny drops for Russell Martin? It’s not as if we’re blessed with players with at least a modicum of pace. So if you have any intentions of winning a game, why would you refuse to select them from the kick off? I think Latibeaudiere should change his first name by deed poll, to Ineffectual, because when ever I read a Match report, that’s how he’s described. Another one not blessed with any pace. If you include Grimes, Fulton, Ncham, is it no wonder we are always playing in front of the opposition, rather than through them ? Why would you not start with Allen, Cooper, Oko-Flex and that matter Darling, who should always start before Woods. Because for a centre back, he can play forwards, shoot, and is a threat from corners (shame we haven’t got a set piece coach? 😳) How many players has Martin seemingly had “issues” with? Piroe (early days) Paterson, Bennett, Benda, Concreive, Darling, Obafemi (no surprise there!) Fulton, Oli-Flex, there’s probably a couple I’ve forgotten, but you get the picture. Something very strange going on here, bad man management springs to mind. Let’s face facts RM’s previous MO was exactly the same at Franchise Dons ie. A million passes going nowhere, ending up with 2 finishes (in a lower league) of 19th & 13th respectively. Yesterday was the first time I couldn’t be asked to watch The Swans, be it online or the radio, or look for the result. That my friends is apathy, and that’s what Russell Martin’s “Process” has bored me into. Don’t get me wrong, He seems like a very knowledgeable guy, with some interesting views, and does a lot of good work behind the scenes, runs a successful business as well, and can talk for Britain, but half

Turns out I was right. I don't know what Martin sees but he obviously has something dodgy in his eyes.

| Martin out ! on 09:22 - Dec 19 with 1109 views | Badlands | Ntcham, in his 22 World Cup minutes looked a different player, a better player, against one of the top teams in the world. In a central midfield role where speed of thought is more important than than sprinting ability, alongside or shared with Allen he could be devastating. Martin knows what he wants but doesn’t know how to achieve it. [Post edited 19 Dec 2022 9:23]

Why is Ntcham a bit player for us. He has been with us long enough to get match fit He is the most talented player we have and he won’t be short of offers when his contract is up

Don't go spoiling a shite thread, this man is entitled to his views on a game he neither saw, listened to or read.

Four at the back, Grimes in front, then Ntcham, Cooper and Joe, pato and Piroe up front.

Meaning he doesn’t play a full part as he can’t seemingly last 90 mins. Ergo,he only plays a part of the game

Yes but starting the right eleven would be a much better idea. That's the problem, he doesn't know, desn't understnd that his starting eleven is not working. he thnks it is then sings the praises of the subs who saved us a point but next match, will those subs start? I'll go for it again, Oli and Oko-Flex will be on the bench again next match. Joe should start, if fit.

This would be my starting line up for the next match. Benda Cabango Darling Wood Manning Allen Fulton Grimes Ntcham Cooper Piroe 3-4-2-1 [Post edited 19 Dec 2022 17:58]

I'd go 4-2-3-1 and yes, I'd use a flat back 4. I'd have Joe and Jay then Oko-Flex, Cooper and Ntcham with Piroe up top. probably too attacking there ind.

I can't see Grimes ever getting "rested" so I would play him as left wingback and Manning right. With Fulton and Joe in the middle.

Interesting but 4-2-3-1 for me. Joey and Grimes in front of flat back 4. Then Oli, Ntcham, Patto. Piroe up top (Oba ?) Come on you 🦢
