First thing that stood out today was our defence, we seemed to compete for headers and get more blocks in.
I think the back 4 is a better option but we are still a little narrow, relying heavily on Manning as the widest player.
I thought Ntcham and Cundle were outstanding, special mention to Liam Walsh who again put in another solid performance.
As stated, much needed win and the clean sheet was just as important for me. |  |

Yes, Ntcham and Cundel were great but Walsh was great too. He looked sharp, quick feet and a quick brain too. Lets hope he stays fit.
My special mentin is Nathan Wood, though he was decent in defence and surprisingly twinkle toed going forward today, made a few good charges forward and we nearly scored off one of them.
I will have to say though, Bristol are poor, as welcome as a clean sheet is. It's a sign of how poor we have been that we are below Bristol, we shouldn't be.
Last 2 things, beat Cardiff and we should be safe AND a sign of some people's eternal optimism, on the way out today a fella walked past saying "we're only 14 points off the play offs"  |  | | |

We have had plenty of defeats whilst playing 4 at the back but I much prefer 4 at the back.
Darling doesn't help as an attacking threat at Right back but he was very solid defensively.
The football was terrific on times today but I felt like we could have got a couple more goals if we had a bit more width.......the timing of the 2nd goal was great as Bristol had started to come back into it.
Still work to be done but when I see signs as u have seen today then I am always encouraged, seen the signs against Boro and Millwall so was quite confident going into today's game. | |

What back 4?
For most of the game it was a back 2 of Wood and Cabango both of whom were outstanding. Manning doesn’t defend and Darling was playing a position of his own making … not complaining .. it worked. |  |

I was also feeling confident coming into this game after seeing considerable improvement in the Middlesbrough and Millwall games.
