Skyline Swansea Mixed feelings about this , as its highly unlikely ( and proven) that with the present regime in cardiff reluctance to throw any new investment our way we have to grab what we can . I do enjoy the walking the dogs up the hill along with its peacefulness and views . its does offer a unique opportunity for the city
Still time for Drakeford & his cronies to step in & offer them a bigger & better experience (and funding) to build it in the capital
Not sure whether any of their new buildings are as tall as 190 meters but it wouldn't surprise me , the only reason we have the Air show is because they don't have a beach to fly over

Getting that all done by 2025 is ambitious it'll take that long to sort out planning, how long would it take to sort out road access to the Skyline buildings and the services needed to run the place, it's another fantasy much like the barrage idea.
Was recently on the one in maderia great tourist attraction a step in the right direction. We have a marvellous coastline let's promote our city. We could commission a massive dragon sculpture up on the hill a focal point like the angel of the north

From what I've heard there's a very good chance that this will happen. It is a key priority for Swansea Council and the regeneration of Hafod - Morfa copperworks area.
I have my doubts whether it will be a success or not, but I'm pretty certain it will actually happen.

I certainly don't agree with tax payers money being used to help"speed up" the construction phase ,not at all

As I understand it the Hafod copperworks area has been excluded from regeneration certainly from residential development due to the presence of arsenic in the soil . This as a result of copper smelting in the industrial revolution .Correct me if Iam wrong.

Plenty of new housing has been built in that area over the last few years. New houses and student accommodation alongside the Neath Road Bypass and also across the River opposite Morfa retail park.
Slightly disingenuous comparing Ebbw Vale's lift to the Kilvey Hill plan ,over the past 25 years millions upon millions of taxpayers money has and continues to be spent in Cardiff so I have no issue with a miserly 4 million being gifted to Swansea as long as its not deducted from the annual handouts we receive and has no impact on local services etc. Without knowing how people are supposed to get to the top of the hill without going through the current access through Bonymaen which isn't anywhere near suitable for tourist traffic let alone us locals . Also I hope there are contingency plans in place in case it does fail and we end up with an abandoned infrastructure, although much smaller in scale the sad remains of the outdoor ski slope in the Morfa which remains a blot on the landscape
