I've seen the Damned quite a few times. Always good. Sensible is a decent guitarist. Funny guy to.

Fantastic people as well. Although the captain is the main man. Sometimes under his kilt ?

The band still sounds great live from what I have seen on YouTube. The one that really irritated me was the reformation of the Sex Pistols where John Lydon sang with a hybrid 'Larry The Lamb does Dame Edna Everage' voice that did not do any justice whatsoever to the superb musicianship that was playing along to him. His voice just did not match the songs he was singing to.

Vanium can really sing. Tony Hadley was a huge fan. I saw them in their goth period 85ish and Dave did become more of the leader . Always a good show. A mate of mine who has seen them incredible amount of times, reckoned the dancing/singing nuns were the best gigs ever. I'm not sure if that was the gig when Captain had a liaison with a lady from Townhill who asked him to close the doors of her house, when she got up to go to work in Sainsbury's in the morning.

Hugh Cornwell a good Cricket player by all accounts. Played in the village team with Mike Gatting. Also in school with Richard Thompson who I believe taught him to play bass. Stranglers were generally older than the Punk bands of the time but they wrote some wonderful stuff, which at times was quite risqué.

Hank Williams? I love country and folk music. Or should that be just be roots music?? Bluegrass is incredible. As fast as an engine but amazing musicians. The Mandolin players are out of this world!

Currently listening to JJ Cale, a master of the country rock feel.
