They almost always have been since the 2002 take over. The club was run by professional business people doing things properly and paying taxes rates and creditors on time and in full. A glorious episode in the clubs troubled history.
One minor shareholder claimed to have been disadvantaged in the sale 2016 but it did not stand up to scrutiny and after 6 years they dropped the case. The fans and members were 'sold a pup'.
The fans take a dim view of the previous owners but they are in general not wise people and do not show any sense of perspective. 2002 -1016 was the greatest era in the club history and the sellers handed over a wonderful legacy to the new owners and the city.
For this reason the club did not fall like a stone which is what many fans expected. The US owners are looked on with scepticism and luke warmly. In my opinion they are excellent people and deserve more faith.
I would be more concerned if the fans group took over with a new local business. The fans group system for SCFC has expired. It is suited to a league 1 or 2 team like Exeter city where the system works and there is no external investment. [Post edited 13 Jul 2023 18:16]
