Squad going into next season 16:54 - Jul 9 with 2286 viewsmagicdaps10

Not going to include Piroe in this.

GOALKEEPERS
Rushworth, Benda, Fisher

RIGHT BACK/WB
Key, Ashby, Naughton

LEFT BACK/WB
Ogbeta

CENTRE HALVES
Darling, Cabango, Wood, Cooper

MIDFIELDERS
Grimes, Fulton, Allen, Walsh, Patino

ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS
Patterson, Cooper, Ginnelly

STRIKERS
Cullen, Yates, Piroe, Mykolo

YOUNGSTERS
Conegrove, Thomas, Webb, Abdulai, Cotterill.

We look well packed in midfield, clearly any leavers will be replaced but as we stand it's full back and striker the main objectives.
Get the right players in and I think another solid mid table season could be possible here.

Poll: Are the owners doing enough for Swansea City

There should be a Congreve bingo. His name is miss-spelt more than any former player in the club's history. Even by the clubs own web page on occasions .

Wise sage since Toshack era

I think Joseph has to be thought of as a first team squad member now. he's been out on loan and done quite well. I also think he's Duff's kind of player, energetic, hard working and aggressive/in your face.

Ntcham and Whittaker are probably gone too. Grimes is harder to reect but may leave. Even so it doesn't look too bad because the Under 21 striker/CF (Josh Thomas?) may get a chance too.

if all those I suggested leave, and Piroe of course, we only need 2-3 in to start with and re-assess in the january window.
Some of that depends on Walsh and Allen staying fit though.

Benda won’t be fit for a long time.

Bit early to call this.

But we definitely need a couple of wingers/wing backs and possibly a couple of strikers.

With Duff and Watson in charge of proceedings I'm not worried.

It's too early to be worried. I don't want wing backs again though, the RM process has put me right off that idea, I'd like to see proper wingers.

Duff favours the 3-5-2 but I'd like to see it more as a 3-2-3-2. 3 centre backs, 2 holding midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders and 2 forwards.

The holding midfielders will be very important so kepping Joey Allen fit next season is massive.

I honestly think it could be a breakthrough season for Joseph, he seems to be the kind of player Duff likes and reading other threads too, if we did end up with Surridge they may complement each other.

Piroe is gone, it's just a matter of time. So if Jospeh does get his chance then what about that Under 21 forward who's been banging them in for fun? Lets have a look at him too.

Unfortunately for you duff likes wing backs but fortunately he isnt rigid with his plans, he is quite flexible, he will want players who can play both full back and on the wing, I am confident he and watson already have earmarked several but its all about the cash, if piroe goes we will get a better calibre, if he doesn't we will get an younger player who duff can work on, whatever happens I am confident we will be competitive enough to challenge for the play offs.

Got a feeling Joseph will be gone in a week or two.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Probably less than a week, I believe he's part of the Yates deal.

Squad still looks light considering that we can now use 5 subs.

Updated squad including putting Piroe in as striker.

Looking light at left wing back and I expect B.Cooper to be leaving so that would be a straight swap with Humphreys.

I expect incomings
Humphreys
The Dutch left sided defender
A left wing back

And that's us done if we don't lose anyone, they would then need replacing.

Big question marks between now and September 2nd on the following leaving Grimes, Piroe, Benda and a few young fringe players leaving on loan.
