Paul Watson official site interview 21:56 - Sep 17 with 1043 viewsQJumpingJack

This is his interview during the international break.

With the new signings he mentions that there was not any panic on deadline day as the deals had been done earlier in the week.

If this was the case why didn't we announce on the Friday morning to allow them to play against Bristol City and it would have been one additional game ahead of the derby. Why did we announce so late in the day?

And most of the images/videos of the players were done in daylight so they would have not been 10.59pm rush signings?

Piroe has left a massive void. I am not sure Yates can go close to filling it without physical assistance. The targeting of Keinan Davis may have seen other prospects slip away. There are a number of free agents in the 29-33 age group who would be a more powerful presence.

If this is not done Kukharevich should be thrown in as a starter and given some games. One area Piroe was weak was aerial challenging and finishing. The big Ukrainian can add something in the aspect perhaps. Yates looks like a sharp face forward striker. On Saturday he spent all day facing Rushworth and did not look great as a hold up player. Not his game perhap.

Duff's comments post game on Saturday were interesting around "lack of quality".
Was that a dig at our recruitment team/owners/chairman ?
