I wonder if they could be interested in the Swans again?

Frying pan, fire springs to mind.

Look at Daii Young at Reading. They know less and are more ruthless in my opinion.

Undoubtedly there are better examples to support your claim though.

I doubt it. We were a semi established premier league club at the time with the revenue and global exposure that goes with it.

I’d imagine anyone interested in us then would be setting their sights a bit higher now.

I think selling a Championship club these days is hard. It's a money pit, an easy way to lose money. So unless you are an arab oil sheikh with billions to fritter away, why would you?

What is in it for anybody who buys a club these days? If you fail all you'll get is abuse and failure is more of a possibility than success.

Then there's the fortuen you could easily lose.

So unless you have a genuine connection to a place and it's club, why would you?

Jim ratcliffe's are few and far between and even when a billionaire is interested in buying a club, they are always supporters of the biggest clubs. Apart from Vincent Tan obviously, who isn't a billionaire any more either. Cardiff having cost him a fortune and covid damaging his businesses a lot.

On a different tack, the Chinese, the Saudi's, I wouldn't want them at our club anyway. I'd rather keep the Americans. They're slightly more acceptable ethically and morally.

Didn’t know that. Either way, I doubt anyone interested in 2017 would be now.

from the article:

"The deal that saw the club valued at more than £100m was first revealed in April 2016 and came after months of behind-closed-doors talks, ones that angered the club's 21 per cent-owning Supporters Trust who say they were excluded from discussions"
