And yet Mowbray's team's have seem to got the better of our team more often than not in recent years or am I wrong?

Failure ? He could well start with a win this Saturday I would have had him in preference to LW. This season is all about staying up. Period

Would have stuck with Sheehan in the short term seemed able to have spotted issues and to turn games around but hopefully with him in the coaching staff it will enable Williams to get off to a flying start given his knowledge of the players.

Fair comment. I see this season now as another of transition. I’m not repeating anymore my views on previous coaches as we have to move on but previous coaches have and are impacting on us now .

Well, we did the double over Sunderland last season, and drew with them this season. Also remember beating Blackburn on a Saturday night when they were flying. Overall I don't think our record against him is to shabby

Presume you meant "isn't too shabby" but happy to stand corrected just remember the games being a bit topsy-turvy and for the most part could have gone either way.we had run into a bit of form before the first game and second was during a very inconsistent time for us. Still think his team will make it hard for us. [Post edited 9 Jan 2024 19:27]

| Mowbray to Birmingham City then. on 23:31 - Jan 9 with 1180 views | Dr_Winston | Mowbray is a very, very capable Championship manager. If our supporters weren't obsessed with some mythical "Swansea Way", he'd have been a decent candidate for the job here. His teams are well organised, and play good football. We can but hope that idealism Trumps reality. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I’ve seen him described as a failure . Not sure that is true For me,a the type of manager we should have aimed for ,one who has experience of the vagaries of football management . Still

Everything in the past affects us positively or negativity. The most important point of that is "in the past" Let's concentrate on the current and future

| Mowbray to Birmingham City then. on 12:08 - Jan 10 with 1023 views | RichardO | Think it is a case of managers having to deal with new rule changes and how they affect play, we have in my time seen a single centrehalf with two full back and two half backs, two wingers, two inside forwards and a centre forward, basically five at the back and five up front, sound familar. To combat the wingers and centreforwards the sweeper system was employed basically four at the back, again sounds familar, not rocket science. Good managers now as previously have to adapt their formation to suit our players and negate the opposition's formation adopted for the best of their players. With five player substitution available good managers can change outcomes of games by their change of tactics and players, that seems more the case with the extra subs making it hard to predict how teams are going to play from one half to another. The last two games those second half changes have worked in our favour, ok against different quality of teams but the same outcome wins hope that continues. | | | |

Yep,100% agree. The past kills the present and strangles the future Dawn is pregnant with anticipation

Incredibly you agree and state exactly the opposite point. Yours is the pessimistic view. Mine is the "Gone With The Wind" Scarlett O Hara "Tomorrow is another day" optimism Worlds apart from your negativity. What is past is gone - onward to a brighter future

The drop from the Premiership is done parachute payments and all, we should be trying to keep our best players now not cash in at the first opportunity as it is weakening the strength of the squad and not encouraging the confidence of new players joining for a brighter future. Hopefully Williams will inspire people QUICKLY! [Post edited 10 Jan 2024 19:09]
