I saw Rollerball, Jaws and The Exorcist in there. A unique experience to go inside a church to watch a movie. And The Exorcist was (quite an apt place to screen it) was shown in the crypt section. Bags of character that cinema had! |  |

Seen The Exorosit in the Albert Hall , matinee performance , queues of kids everywhere .
All bunked off School to watch , the manager then came to the foyer and gave up control .
That Studio Cinema though. Remember it advertised under that name , when I visited they screened Quadrophinia made my The Who , never returned , very dingy and not comfortable .

Quadrophenia? The great thing about smaller cinema's like Studio's 1 2 3 in those bygone days of old was the way they supported independant production movie makers/enterprise.
I watched 'The Great Rock n' Roll Swindle' in Studios 1 2 3 and I would never have been able to do so elsehwere in Swansea, because the movie was outside of the 'mainstream' and without mass public appeal.
Other movies like for example "Yank My Doodle, It’s A Dandy" would never have appeared at any cinema belonging to the Odeon chain. | |
