Their all well and good especially for the squad with team bonding for the new players etc but does anyone else miss the good old days playing down Port Talbot and Llanelli, Carmarthen etc.. They normally send the U21s there now but it not the same.. I remember seeing Trundle for the first time down Port Talbot with Andy Robinson and Brad Maylett.. there was about 3 thousand down there.. great days

Club has to move with the times mate, doubt this trip will leave much change out of a hundred grand. Gets the new players to meet the current squad, also for me in a closed environment, with games Matos gets to see deficiencias in current and new players. He gets one on one opportunities as do the coaching staff and there’s the usual management of players personal stuff that can be dealt with. Young men always have differing issues dependent on their background.

There’s definitely going to be players moving on from this experience.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Plus the fact that playing local amateur sides as a pre-season warm up might be OK if you're in League Two, but it's not really suitable for a Championship team.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yeah i get why we're doing it.. but it shouldn't be underestimated how many kids you can pick up as lifelong supporters when you go into those places and they see the big stars for the first time..

I used to go to all these games and I can understand why they have stopped. One in particular we were playing Neath and they were getting great pleasure in trying to kick lumps out of us.
