With Stewart being purely a forward and with Idah and Vipotnik being fit, I'm not sure that I would use up a slot on the bench for him.

Could be in Matos thinking but when fit heโs a goal scoring machine

True but we play only one up front so 3 strikers in the match day squad is excessive in my opinion, I would rather options elsewhere.

There should always be a place on the bench at least for a prominent goals scorer, in my opinion of course.

Vipotnik? | | | |

Why is he on the bench instead of starting these days, because Idah's allround game is more of what Matos wants? Maybe the difference between Vipotnik and Stewart is because Stewart has been that Stewart has been prominent goal scorer throughout his career at a level above as to what Vipotnik has played at, it remains' to be seen as to what happens with Stewart now being fit. Its all down to Matos at the end of the day his reputation improves or fades with the decisions he makes. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It will be asking a hell of a lot of Stewart to come on and save this game. Maybe if the supply line was better?

It's not so much the all round game. Vipotnik is still better with his back to goal than Idah and is a more "natural" finisher IMO. What Idah is better at, and what suits the way that the team is playing at the moment is mobility. He's faster than Vipi and a lot more able to run the channels, drifting wide if needed. Asking Vipotnik to do that takes away a lot of what made him so successful last season. He's good at dropping deep, but working the flanks is not his game and takes him away from where he needs to be. Ideally we'd be able to shift styles depending on which one of them is on the pitch, and that might be the long term aim. [Post edited 11 Oct 16:41]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
