Alan Sheehan has explained very clearly what his new position at Swansea City means to him. Thinking through his answers and being cautious as to what he said, especially in the club edited version of his first pre match yesterday.

You couldn’t help but note the edit when Alan was asked about Duff - and being able to say good bye to the Swans squad. But then control is key at the moment. The edits won’t bother one of the journalists there, they are doing some work for our website over the coming weeks. Talking on his current position at the Swans, Sheehan gave a very direct answer, "I think it’s a question that will probably be answered after Saturday’s game," he said. "I can’t speculate. I’ve been given the privilege to manage this football club, whether it’s for a day, two days, five days, whatever it is. I understand my responsibility to the football club, and I want to put out a good Swansea team that the fans are going to be proud of. We’ve been working hard on the opposition on Saturday. How we can get the best out of the players we have in the building. At moments we’ve seen that this season. Hopefully we can see that on Saturday. It's never going to be about me. It’s never going to be about Michael Duff. I’m not going to make it about me. Not this week. Not any week. It’s about the football club. It’s about Swansea, and what it’s about to represent this football club. It’s an absolute privilege. Knowing the people that are here. That work here. That are around the place."
