Starting with a clear canvass is how I'd put it and I reckon this time, it's well needed.
I don't think Green is necessary to be honest and the wage he currently receives surely will not be matched in a new contract offer . He'll get a better offer somewhere else (but still not as good as his current contract cos we're stupid)... He's gone.
Onuha, what's his current contract like? He could probably find another Prem team in my opinion.
Hoilett, I've lost patience with him, really exciting signing but he obviously thought he'd made it. Hopefully someone out there thinks he's still worth a punt. I'm grateful for the role he played in "That Goal" but other then that, he's been a massive dissappointment,.
I'd keep Henry, Yun, all the yongsters, Hill on a coaching role, Fer, and obviously Austin who we are we are almost certainly going to have to sell on. Other then that, get rid of the lot of the failures. |  | | |

It's inevitable now that we are down, we were given another chance this weekend to make up ground but we just were not good enough, for all the endeavour shown on the pitch.
Next season is far too difficult to predict, we don't even know for sure that we will be allowed in the Championship, it's going to be another "rocky road".
Players that you want to keep may well want to leave, unfortunately we are not a massive attraction and have attracted players in the last 4 years by purely offering big money.
As has been said before time to start signing players who see QPR as a step up in their career and not purely for mega money.
Can we start next year paying Championship salaries, providing that's the division we are in, sensible contracts where players get rewarded if they achieve success.
Henry will be retained because he's not an attractive option for other clubs so will choose the easy option, his form has improved this year but he's still not a Premiership player and if he reverts to last seasons form he will struggle in the Championship. [Post edited 23 Mar 2015 10:49]

The only change is that i'd potentially try and keep Austin if we don't get any decent offers (north of £9-10m). He doesn't seem the type to strike and he can go on a free next summer for a lucrative prem deal.
Keeping Austin for another year to stabilise in the champo or make a run at the playoffs (depending on the manager/quality of team we cobble together) is probably worth losing the fee for.
Obviously, back in the real world i know we'll sell Austin to a well run club like Swansea for £6.5m just before deadline day and not replace him. | | | |

Bare in mind there's a very good chance we'll be under a transfer embargo having paid £20+ million to the Football League.
That'll mean all big out of contract earners have to go - Barton, SWP, Zamora, Green etc. They might be forced to offer Dunne and Hill another year each, but might also decide to cut losses.
Austin, Philips, Fer and Sandro will all be sold, you'd think, with Caulker also possibly going if a club similar to us this season take a punt.
By my reckoning that leaves McCarthy and Murphy as GKs; Onuoha, Yun, Furlong, Robinson (injured for season), Harriman and Ehmer in defence; Hoilett, Henry, Taarabt and Faurlin in midfield; and no forwards. | | | |
