Amazing to think that Rio Ferdinand played 11 games for QPR, most of which we lost and he took over £3.5 million out of the club (£3,500 per minute played, assuming he played all 90 mins of each of the 11 games, which of course he wouldn't have managed).

Further proof of the sheer insanity of today's professional game. How on earth can any sane business make any sense of such figures?

It's just rubbish. All of it. Utter nonsense.

Good luck with the replies CoolRanger.

Fanrastic Redknapp signing. Thought he could play him and Dunne in a back 3. I thought I'd seen it all when Holloway put Santos up front. But this was next level genius.

Blew the whole defence (which was the best part of the dreary team of the year before) apart to accommodate him as well.

We've had all three Ferdinands on the pitch - one was a legend, the other two.....just wait until Anton takes up the Director of Equipment Monitoring role, then the fur will fly!

There can't be many times Anton finishes above Rio in a best of competition!

Yeh shame on him for not playing more often whilst his wife was dying of cancer.

Strange example when you think about some of the dross we've had at the club stealing a living over the last 5 years or so.

Why has no one ever mentioned before how much footballers are getting paid?

You would have thought that if your wife was dying of cancer you would not be looking to be playing football for a living, particularly when you clearly don't need to earn a living any more?

Not sure but was Rebecca's cancer diagnosed after Rio transferred to QPR?
