I've always wanted to start an Uzbek match thread so here we go. If the white wolves of Uzbekistan, 33-1 outsiders for the tournament, can get a result against those other 'Asian' giants, and current holders, Australia this afternoon in the Asian Cup hopefully this would give Massimo Luongo enough time to drag his jet-lagged ass back from Dubai and rest up ready for Saturday to plug that huge hole we currently have in central midfield. See you in Pompey Massimo. Forza Uzbeki!
Match preview: Eldor Shomurodov the man in form for the U's. Scored in all the groups game, one against Japan, one against Oman, and two against Turkmenistan in the Stan derby.
Check out Eldor.

Mass starts on the bench losing his starting place to fit again Trent '24 hour' Sainsbury. IMHO if you eschew the rough and tumble of Championship football for the Dutch league I don't rate your chances against the marauding Uzbeks.

I've spent a week in Uzbekistan, on a business trip, went to Tashkent and Samarkhand (home of Tamburlaine the great) and had a good look at the remains of the Aral Sea.
I feel I should support them

Very tense at the Sheikh Khalifa International Stadium. HT: 0-0.
Anyone watching it?
Free stream on William Hill if anyone interested.
Only just started watching, Hibs have two players we're needing back and we lost another one for the season through injury before the comp started. Knocked out and Mass not getting on the pitch be fine

It must be frustrating for Mass that he doesn't seem to be getting much gametime - also frustrating for us as we seem to be missing him in our midfield
