I know it's not easy to find and afford one but I am becoming increasingly concerned, that as we approach our final pre season friendly, there don't even seem to be any rumours about who we might be chasing.
I can see us going to Stoke trying to confuse them, as they try to work out who to mark in the middle and our two wide players look for someone to cross to.
I'm trying not to worry but I just can't see us being able to afford anyone, unless we get lucky at 4.45pm on the 8th August and we get the last one left 'on the shelf' with the 'yellow reduced sticker'. | | | |

There’s gonna be a lot of late movement I anticipate.
You’ve got the likes of Sturridge, Welbeck, Carroll, to name just a tiny few who are out of contract right now.
No doubt there’s loads of discussions going on behind the scenes at loads of clubs, and if & when something happens there then other players suddenly go from being ‘mildly available’ to ‘urgently available get them off the wage bill asap’ - and that’s when the likes of us can do business. |  | | |
