Less to do with Sport of Kings (that's flat racing really), more to do with the Gambling industry. You know, that lot that sponsors just about every football club in the UK.
Many though it was irresponsible for matches like Liverpool v Atletico to go ahead and probably most football would have done so until Arteta got ill. [Post edited 21 Mar 2020 13:48]
