I’d never have made a chef, but I love cooking and all things considered, I guess I’m not too bad at it. Been really going to town since lockdown, placing emphasis on eating well and relaxing as I make everything from scratch with no pre-prep’d sauces. On the weekend I made a spicy veg curry and accompany daal that was, even if I say so myself, yum! Also been doing a lot of roasted stuff using all sorts of spices to see how they work. Nothing to lose. In lieu of a zoomposium social event tomorrow, I made a big batch of chilli con verdura. I always find 24 hours later, so many ‘stews’ taste better, and so I’ll enjoy it with a recent arrival in the parish, some London Pride...’kin ‘ave it!! All things considered, I’ve enjoyed it even more and eaten healthily into the bargain. | |
