I'm certain that nothing has changed!

No club has been allowed to stream within the UK for any match that was being shown live on Sky. I believe that dates back to 1992.

I was also under the impression that unofficially, the weekend started at 12.00 on the Friday. It definitely did in my working days! I do accept that when I was young, the weekend didn't start until Ready Steady Go came on air (18.00 on the Friday?).

Now TV was on my Humax Youview Box last time I checked which is internet connected. So hopefully I can watch it through that. Another evening battling with he’s goal not very appealing!

Club website 9th September: "Your QPR+ voucher will enable you to watch all home and midweek away league fixtures for free".

Nothing about Sky.

It did say Please Note this free stream offering is subject to change by the EFL without notice and is beyond the control of QPR

Is anyone genuinely surprised that a Friday night fixture thats been moved from a Saturday doesnt qualify as a midweek fixture?

When it was all announced I only ever assumed it would apply to Tuesday/Wednesday night games and it looks like I'm right.

I'd guess a Monday night fixture that's been pushed back from a Saturday wouldn't qualify either.

To be honest I was a bit surprised when there was chatter on here a week ago or so of people saying it would be available!

Got to say I’m in agreement with you on this. As it was a Saturday fixture that had been changed to Friday night for Sky TV I had never thought it would be included in the free streams for ST holders and was surprised when people started posting on here that it was. It was originally a weekend away fixture which we wouldn’t have been able to see so it hasn’t really changed anything.
What will piss me off however, is if they start taking the Saturday home fixtures which we’re presently able to watch and putting them on TV on Sundays, Fridays and Mondays and blocking us from watching them. I can see this happening and of course there’ll be sod all we can do about it.

One for people in Spain and probably other countries too, I'm not entirely sure. Its on DAZN - its 9.99 euros a month and the first month is free so presumably you can sign up, watch it then cancel.

edit - Spain, Italy, Germany, Canada, Austria and Switzerland I think they have the rights for showing the game.

So what happens if Sky choose us for Saturday home game at 12 30 are we "allowed" to watch or is that null and void

Not in Spain, but a year back I signed up for DAZN on the month free offer in Brazil so I could watch the Corinthians games in the Libertadores, and it was actually no problem to cancel it after about 28 days.. no questions asked.

I see that in Brazil, the game is on ESPN Plus, but not live! At about 9:30 tonight (Brazil time - +4 hours), so now I am unsure if I turn off my phone, and try and watch it like live.. at a better drinking hour than the actual live time... or if I look for a he's goal link..
Decisions!

I would bet that any of our home games that are picked for broadcast by Sky will disappear from our free package. And if we have a successful season - as we all hope we do - that could be quite a few games.

I refuse to subscribe to Sky. I was on the picket line in Wapping, and I will never give that company any of my money, no matter who owns it now or in the future.
