Well I've only seen one team weak, looking a beaten rabble with no belief, no battle and zero bottle. They play in hoops and are shameful.

Yes you are. But you're not allowed your own facts. You can have whatever opinion you want on subjective things like which kits look good and what makes a match entertaining, but once you tie your opinion to factual claim, then your opinion will live or die based on the veracity of those claims and the facts on which they're based. You also aren't allowed to use your opinion as a weapon, especially against players directly on social media. Nor are you allowed to use your right to an opinion as a shield - claiming something you said was just your opinion doesn't get you out of the consequences of having said it; consequences ranging from being subsequently shown to be foolish, to having had a seriously negative effect on people's mental health. I was behind MW despite our position because it seemed we were competing in matches but every mistake was being punished. We didn't look far off to me and I also liked the idea of not changing the manager every season. However it was the loan players that seemed to make the difference in the end. Those players gave us a spine and the subsequent pick up in form gave us confidence. We ended up winning some games in exactly the manner we had lost them earlier in the season.
Having said all that it I find it strange to troll through 7 months worth of threads to call someone out. I very much doubt he was the only one feeling like that after 6 wins in 38 games and the season hasn't really started yet.
I sincerely hope someone isn't digging the OP out in a few months from now for the same reason. |  | | |

However, I think it's unfair to call out people who, clearly passionate about how we perform as a team, were disappointed about how we were preforming and expressed this concern in the manner Pinner has highlighted.

You could also argue that the fact the squad went from 19th (first half of the season) to 3rd for the second half alone, even with the 4 loan additions, meant the team and coaching staff had under performed in that first half of the season.
MW admits it in Clive’s interview.
Also, the line of 6 wins in 38 was factually correct, so not sure what point that makes. Surely it’s better people justifying their opinion with actual facts? |  | | |

I've read his post 4 times now and can't see where pinner says people shouldn't be allowed an opinion.
It's a good post showing how some fans are so blinded by the fury of losing that they cannot see anything but that fury and vent on here accordingly - which is their right to do. But it makes interesting reading given the - imo dangerously over the top - optimism on here at the moment. |  |

Maybe I've mellowed in my (not so) old age but I just can't get wound up by football anymore. Yes, we seem to keep breaking bad records such as worse starts to the season since 1066 and the most games in a month (last December) without a win, 10.
Despite all of that and great gnashing's of teeth on here and other forms of social media up to the end of the year, I just couldn't worry about it. I mean, what the actual fk can any of us do about it? Nothing, is the answer.
I also felt we'd be OK, I never felt like we would go down though I never thought we'd end up 9th so that was a nice surprise to the 2nd half of the season. |  | | |

easy with hindsight but it did look an absolute mess at Christmas. 4 expensive loan signings saved our arse to be honest.
I'm don't necessarily agree with a lot of the comments from back then but can see why people were saying that. I thought Warburton should go after Swansea and fully expected him to, full credit to him for turning it around | | | |

so a passionate fan, after yet another defeat in what was shaping up to be an horrendous season (bear in mind the stats provided predated the current season and demonstrated the fact that we were certainly, if not in decline, had been a lot more than unlucky to date) vents post match.
you may find the choice of tone excessive but equally hindsight and sitting on the fence are the easy option. I can certainly understand the sentiment in the post whereas is digging someone out months later anything more than just being a bit snidey?
having watched us capitulate or lack any spine/game management/ sh1thousery for 36 games and repeatedly turn victory into draws or defeats it was a valid if bad tempered post at worst. Why couldn't you just post a generic comment praising the turnaround and criticism in general of those calling for MW's head?
given the way this board has turned on itself primarily into a collection of people just being antagonistic to each other for the sake of it; you seem to have continued the tone in what appears to be no more than a slightly camouflaged dig.

I thought the whole purpose of a message board was the range of alternative views.
We can pontificate over the relevance of Norwich away all day long but the clear and obvious change for good was the introduction of a completely new spine to the team at the start of the year.
Nobody but nobody saw that coming, anyone watching us stumbling about in 19th place after the preceding six years had every right to vent their spleens.

It's a feature of social media that many use it to vent their anger. There are other QPR platforms I've used over the years that have similar posters who tend toward negative views and invective language.
Social media per se has created an easy channel for people's fury about things they don't like. When using Twitter etc. I find that I get angry about issues I care about but usually stay away from joining in the virtual shouting. It only raises the blood pressure and achieves nothing. |  | | |
