We were in the Oldham end for the play-off semi-final at their place because QPR had put our allocation on sale to personal callers only i.e. you had to go to the box office at LR to get them, and we lived in Grimsby.
Drove across to Oldham in the week and queued for their allocation. Iain Dowie turned up to thank us all for our support, and we all got a free Oldham scarf.
God it was tough when we scored!
Yeah I was right in front of Langley for the red card. Good times.

i thought it was an offence for away fans to be in home ends? also our wonderful ticketing system needs a review cos i doubt our box office would sell to someone buying a ticket with a brummy voice on matchday when we play a brummy team ffs! ??? odd how stewards can turn up and remove you for standing yet a punch up and they are not bouncers?? coventry fans are not exactly saints themselves and had loads of bans recently as they slid down the leagues , if our team showed some fight we might not be bottom 3.

Regards the approx 100 or so cov fans scattered around Loftus road saturday we restrcted them to 2767 tickets out of the 3012 seats in the school end so those 100 or so could have easily been housed with their own & we will probably now only get 2k or so at Cov when we have averaged close to 4k the past 2 seasons .

usually W12 club is seated behind the Director's box as the 'premium economy' level of hospo. There's an arbitrary wall no bigger than 3ft to prevent the proletariat from reaching the bourgeoise - however this Saturday there seemed to be an overspill with the said Cov fans in E block. Recipe for disaster, but can't help but think three blocks down towards H block from being something very nasty.
don't condone football related violence but jumping up and down celebrating in a home end probably violates the social contract preventing you getting a split lip - according to Hobbes/Locke's law anyway.

I had a few Coventry fans with me in the home end today. They were sensible and didn't celebrate any of the goals nor say anything untoward. They loved the ground and had a great day.
Don't know why football fans can't just mix. It's just a game FFS. Don't get the same problems at cricket or rugby.
I was working at Wembley for a challenge cup final in the 90s. Wigan v widnes. Massive running punch up in one end at the end...

They were definitely sat in the right place - that could have been a horrible moment elsewhere. We all know the rules if you are in a home stand.

We drove up on the night, I remember there being an almighty thunder storm, we bought tickets at the Box Office, then when we got in the ground opposite all the QPR fans my Dad decided to try his luck at asking the stewards if we could get moved. Given he had a six year old child with him they decided they couldn't kick him out so walked us all the way around the pitch and into the QPR end.
That was the game Dichio scored that wonder volley although I have zero actual memory of it.
We also, through a work contact of my Dad's, were in the home end at Leeds in 2004. That was when Gareth Ainsworth scored after 2 minutes to put us 1-0 up. Before we decided to let 85 year old Brian fkn Deane steamroller his way through us to score 4 (or was it 5?) goals as we lost 6-1. And they missed a penalty. That was a grim experience!

I was in the home section at Hillsborough when we were promoted in 2004. Me and a mate moved down to the area nearest the away end to get a bit of the atmosphere, which of course put us in with the Wednesday supporters who like to give it loads to the opposition. Tough to keep quiet of course, and by the end of the match it was very obvious that we and a few others were QPR supporters by the grins on our faces, but we didn't rub it in or cheer during the game.

1992 away at Southampton, 4 of us (3 QPR and a Spurs lad) sat in the Home seats lower tier as it was cheaper to sit in there than stand in the away end.
Southampton scored first and loads around us didn't move so we thought at least there is a few of us to share the kicking, 53rd minute we equalise and as the 3 of us leapt to our feet we realised that the same group around us didn't move a muscle for our goal either and the locals got a bit lippy and the stewards and old bill waddled in and gave us a final warning. As a group we decided the best thing to do is to would be to keep a lid on it regardless, cue Justin Channing 3 minutes later, the plan went out the window, we were on our feet and so were their lot, the stewards and the old bill, without discussing it we decided the best course of action was to jump over the front wall, fair play to the plod on the pitch he just told us to get in the away terrace.

I was in the Blackburn home end the last time QPR won there in 1999. It was hilarious when Gallen scored right at the death to seal the win. The place went absolutely toxic with anger and I just sat their smirking. No wonder Brian Kidd was sacked a hour or so later.

I was lucky enough to be sat in the home stand when we played Leeds in the cup in 88, watched our lot get battered at half time! Three days after the milk cup semi at Anfield we had a league game there, coach dropped the 3 of us that got off the 5 buses right outside the Kop! Decided we didn’t want to get kept back for half hour after so instead of going in the away end where we were on the previous Wednesday,me and my mate got a ticket in the main stand, had to sit on our hands when Rosenior scored in the first minute, ended up losing 4-1. Did the same at Goodison the day they beat us to win the league in 85. As said previously don’t behave like a dick if you’re in the wrong end. Only exception I’ve made on that rule was at Luton when the away ban was on,got tickets from a Luton supporting co worker, went over the top nuts when Falco scored.

In 1985 Luton banned all away fans from attending matches. I got 2 tickets from a Luton fan at work who wasn't going. Before the match the Luton players kicked balls into the crowd.
