On the official stream there was as far as I could see a VERY clear picture of Bamford diving and missing Asmir's leg. I think this should be rescinded, but ref + small man sydrome means he will probably say it was a straight red for foul and abusive language when he gave the free kick!

If one of his laces touched Bamford's leg, Bamford would have been rolling around for 10 minutes - the fact he actually got up after tells you it was nowehere near - I think it's pretty clear.

Wasn't there something at some point about retrospective bans for diving? Am I dreaming?

Well it should be.

Even Bamford actually put his hands up to suggest it was him but home town decision.

The fact is though, was an irrelevance to the result.

I agree - I've only seen the short clip, but it does look like he gets up to say no contact (amazing for him if so) - he still dived though. I never understand refs giving these with players like Bamford who are known for diving, if I was a ref and I wasn't sure I'd just play on if it was him - he's not only screwing us over, other players and teams but also refs who get shown up as well.

Yeh it didn't make much difference in the match but getting a 3(?) match ban for that on the back of the Colback little deserved 3 match ban is hard to take. This is how teams get relegated. No luck, no goals.

On behalf of all us fans and fans of football I’d like to extend my very best wishes to Patrick Bamford’s family who must be going through hell having witnessed their loved one suffer such a horrific injury. It’s a long road back from that. I just hope that they catch the f@cking ghost that did it.
